This Privacy Policy explains how Wantly, LLC ("Wantly", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Wantly application, website, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
We collect the content you choose to add to Wantly, including wishlist names and descriptions, product links, images, prices, notes, quantities, visibility choices, and gift reservations. If you contact us or submit feedback, we also receive the message, attachments, and any contact information you choose to include.
Wantly generates an account identifier and Wantly code so you can access your lists without providing an email address or password. We also process session identifiers, IP address, user agent, timestamps, and similar data needed to authenticate requests, keep the Service available, and prevent abuse.
We may collect information about how the Service is used, such as pages or features viewed, actions taken, referring pages, app and browser version, device and operating system information, performance data, and error or crash reports. We may use analytics and infrastructure providers to help process this information.
When you ask Wantly to import a product, we retrieve information available at the link you provide, such as the page title, image, price, description, and retailer URL.

Private wishlists are available only to their owner. If you make a wishlist public, anyone with its link can view it and reserve its items. Recipients may forward the link to others, so do not add information you do not want those visitors to see. You can make a public wishlist private again.
Wantly uses cookies, local storage, secure device storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain reservation state, secure the Service, and understand how features perform. Your browser or device may provide controls for these technologies, but disabling them can prevent parts of the Service from working.
Wantly may participate in affiliate marketing programs offered by third-party affiliate networks, service providers, or merchants (collectively, "affiliate partners"). Some product links may be affiliate links. If you choose to click an affiliate link, Wantly may receive a commission if you make a purchase or complete another qualifying action, at no additional cost to you.
When affiliate features are enabled, our affiliate partners and the relevant merchant may process information associated with your visit or click. This may include the destination or merchant URL, the Wantly page or other referring URL, the date and time of the click, IP address, browser and device type, operating system, user agent, cookie or similar identifiers, and information about whether a purchase or other qualifying action occurred. This information may be used to redirect you to the merchant, attribute referrals and transactions, calculate commissions, provide reporting, measure performance, prevent fraud, and secure the affiliate service.
Affiliate partners may set or read cookies and similar technologies in connection with affiliate-enabled pages or links, subject to any consent required by applicable law. Each affiliate partner processes information under its own privacy policy and may provide its own privacy choices.
You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some Service features. Affiliate partners may also provide privacy centers, opt-out tools, or other controls. Choices that rely on an opt-out cookie generally apply only to the browser and device where you make them, so you may need to repeat the choice after clearing cookies or when using another browser or device. Depending on where you live, you may have additional data rights or opt-out choices. You can contact us for information about the affiliate providers currently used by Wantly.
We may share information with vendors that provide hosting, storage, security, product import, analytics, diagnostics, affiliate attribution, and other services on our behalf. When affiliate features are enabled, information may be shared with affiliate networks, service providers, and participating merchants as described above. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Wantly or others, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent. Public wishlist content is shared as described above.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Wishlist content generally remains until you delete it or your account. When you delete your account, associated data—including submitted feedback and feedback attachments—is removed from active systems and then from backups according to our normal retention cycle, subject to legal or security-related exceptions.
You can edit or delete wishlist content, change a wishlist between public and private, and delete your Wantly account from the Service. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights concerning access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need information from you to verify that you control the relevant account.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, our practices, or applicable laws change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
